Tom Hopgood – Shepherd’s Pie
As well as being the Mr Kipling of Clever Pie, Tom is also a freelance comedy producer. He is currently back at Brown Eyed Boy (where he started his TV career 9 years ago) as their head of new talent development and digital content, as well as producing a new monthly live night in Edinburgh called ALCHEMY. Tom has previously: Developed and worked on MY FUNNIEST YEAR at Twofour Broadcast for Channel 4 Developed a Channel 4 comedy entertainment show for Objective Produced and directed the interactive footage for HORRIBLE HISTORIES at Lion TV Ran the external writing team on RUSSELL HOWARD’S GOOD NEWS (BBC3) Script produced OOPS TV (SKY ONE) for Silver River. Other credits include HEADCASES (ITV1), COMEDY CUTS (ITV2) and STORYMAN (RADIO 4), as well as co-devising WHITE VAN MAN for BBC3. He’s also produced several live shows including Laura Solon (which won the Perrier), Noble and Silver, Andrew Clover’s BIRTHDAY PARTY, Isabel Fay’s three Edinburgh shows, COMEDY CUTS LIVE at the Bloomsbury Theatre, THE WORKS at Madame Jojos and a one off Charity Gala at the Pleasance Islington. Tom is regularly developing scripts and formats with writers, and is always happy to chat about new projects, so just get in touch. He enjoys running (anywhere) eating (anything) and will compete to achieve a new personal best in any event you care to invent. |

Matt Holt – Steak & Ale Pie
Over the last few years Matt has been working flat out, directing an impressive mix of television and live comedy. He cut his teeth on the first series of the acclaimed new-talent show Comedy Cuts (ITV2) and went on to direct on both subsequent series. In August 2007 he shot The If.Comedy Awards (ITV2), a multi-camera live event hosted by Christian Slater. Following on from those successes ITV moved him on to Headcases, the satirical and ground-breaking cartoon sketch show for ITV1. Matt is now directing series 2 of Lunch Monkeys for BBC 3. At the Edinburgh Festival Matt directed the If.Comedy Award Winner Brendon Burns: So I Suppose This is Offensive Now! and continues to work on a number of live projects. At present he has numerous TV projects in development and is engaged on writing a number of scripts and shooting a range of shorts. Matt was also Associate Director on a feature length modernisation of Macbeth. |
